A good subwoofer opens up new perspectives. It can reveal up to 30 percent more of what is actually contained in your recordings, as it reaches into frequency ranges in the bass that even many floor-standing speakers cannot achieve.
RHEA III – Subwoofer for More Sound, More Emotion, More Presence
A subwoofer like the RHEA III is not only the ideal addition to a surround system – it also gives a pure stereo setup noticeably more depth, foundation, and musical authenticity.
At its heart is a powerful 30.5 cm (12-inch) woofer with a carbon-fiber cone. Thanks to its large diaphragm area, it moves massive amounts of air even with small excursions. The result is deep, powerful bass with exceptional control – free from the audible distortion that would otherwise be inevitable at extreme cone movement.
The down-firing design, with a defined distance to the floor, ensures particularly even room excitation and a harmonious bass foundation – regardless of placement within the room.
With 500 watts RMS and up to 900 watts of dynamic power, the RHEA III offers enormous power reserves. Even highly energetic bass passages are reproduced confidently, precisely, and without distortion.
The well-thought-out connection and control panel allows fine adjustment to both room acoustics and speakers. All common connection options are available:
XLR/balanced, line/LFE (RCA), as well as connection via the speaker outputs of an amplifier or receiver.
A mechanically solid cabinet is essential for clean bass reproduction. That’s why the RHEA III is built with rigid, thick walls and is additionally reinforced internally with ceramic foam inserts. This effectively suppresses unwanted vibrations and tonal coloration.
The result is precise bass reproduction – without localized noise sources or coloration in the lower and midrange frequencies.
In addition to the classic terminal controls, the RHEA III can be conveniently configured via the iWoofer app on a smartphone (iOS & Android). With just a tap, all relevant DSP functions are available – crossovers, parametric EQs, delay, phase, and more.
The optional iWoofer Pro version also offers automatic room calibration (iOS only), using the smartphone microphone to perfectly adapt the sound to the acoustics of your listening room.
